The Giles County Historical Society will be temporarily closed effective immediately and for most of 2026 due to the Giles County Public Library's expansion project starting 1/2/2026. Some exhibits will be relocated to the Wolf Gap Education & Nature Center (2718 Tarpley Shop Rd, Pulaski, TN). Regular bulletins and meetings will continue as scheduled. Donations can still be made by appointment. Researchers including those without email should contact the Giles County Archives. Genealogy inquiries can also be directed to the Giles County, TN History & Genealogy Facebook Page. Limited research assistance may be available to visiting patrons who have made prior arrangements. *The Giles County Historical Society will do 1 hour of research for free and $10 afterwards. The Historical Society encourages anyone to come and do research for free during their hours of business. Please send research requests to the primary email: historygilescounty@gmail.com.
Membership:
The yearly dues are only $25 to become a member of the Giles County Historical Society. You can pay by check or cash in person or send a check with name, address, and email to The Giles County Historical Society. Membership includes four quarterly bulletins and an invitation to attend four quarterly meetings held at 2 PM on the fourth Sunday in Jan, April, July, and Oct at the Giles County Public Library unless otherwise stated in the quarterly bulletin.
