The Traveling Tales Puppet Theater and Dance a Story
For pre-school ages. Twice a month on Wednesdays at
10a.m. A list of dates will be published monthly.

Thousand and One Ways to Tell a Story”
A series
of interactive one-woman dance theater performances
of classic works of literature and periods of
history.

Book Talks for Teens.
Summer Reading Program -
A free,
six week story hour program that emphasizes
reading, crafts, music and games for preschool
through sixth grade, with a Summer Reading Club for
all children, and an End-of-Summer carnival.
For Adults and Senior Citizens
Eat, Drink, and be Literary:
Lectures
and book signings by visiting authors. A reception
will follow each event. Different authors will be
scheduled through the year.
Outreach for Adults and Senior Citizens: “A
Time it Was” A
monthly series of narrative dance theater
performances created around periods of literature,
history and music. Each hour-long performance in
the series is available monthly to clubs, senior
centers, retirement residences, nursing homes, and
any group or organization serving adults in Giles

General Audience
Tale Telling in Giles County:
A series
of storytelling events in different locations
throughout Giles County for a general audience
featuring local and out-of-town tellers. Events are
free and open to the public monthly May - October.
An emphasis is placed on local tales and oral
history.
